This holiday season, NYBG GLOW returns for its third year. Discover the beauty of our landscape and historic buildings after dark, breathtakingly illuminated across the Garden. Building upon sold-out evenings the past two years, NYBG GLOW expands across even more of the Garden’s magnificent collections with choreographed lights and sound.
Round out your experience with an after-dark visit to the Holiday Train Show® under the glow of the Haupt Conservatory by purchasing a special combination ticket. Enjoy a drink, hot cocoa, and a bite to eat at one of our outdoor bars or the Bronx Night Market Holiday Pop-Up.

Called New York’s Best Outdoor Food Fair by the New York Times, the Bronx Night Market brings together handpicked food vendors in celebration of our city’s diverse culture. A special pop-up during GLOW features a rotating selection of Market favorites for purchase.

Lenny Calvin Creations

Lenny Calvin describes himself as a “self-taught artist.” His artistic eye found its way into his designing, carpentry, furniture making, and pumpkin carving. Calvin has competed on Food Network’s Halloween Wars Seasons 6 & 8 and Outrageous Pumpkins Season 2, and he’s been featured on many local & national news stations. His fans can see his work on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube at LennyCalvinCreations. He was also the winner of NYBG’s Pumpkin Carving Face-Off, and worked with Adam Bierton to carve NYBG’s Giant Pumpkin on Halloween weekend. Calvin is an expert at “temporary art”—a term he coined for material that has an expiration date—like ice.
Expert Carver Assistants include:
David A. Smith has been a professional ice sculptor since 2012. Over his career, David has earned over 80 National Ice Carving Association medals including 5 Gold, as well 10 ACF medals in both Ice and Fruit sculpture. David has been featured on five different Food Network TV Shows, including Halloween Wars, Christmas Cake Wars, Hayride of Horror (Champion), and most recently Outrageous Pumpkins. David has competed in World Ice Art Championships over the years, earning three Gold Medals.
TJ Neary graduated from Culinary Institute of America in 1987. Since then, he has worked in the restaurant industry until he discovered his true passion for ice sculpting. Over the years, he has successfully competed in over 100 competitions, large events, winter festivals and ice art championships.
