I chose hospital medicine as I enjoy treating a wide variety of disease processes with a high level of acuity. The complexities of patient care necessitate a multidisciplinary approach to effectively caring for hospitalized patients, and as a hospitalist I am able to lead a team which includes working closely with subspecialists, nursing staff, therapy services, and care management to accomplish this task. When I am not at work I am with my wife and son, exploring the greater Portland area. A favorite activity is walking the east end trails and beach with our two dogs.
