Glasgow burger aficionados El Perro Negro have introduced a limited edition Ode to a Haggis Burger, to celebrate Burns Night.
A recent survey conducted by Visit Scotland to find out the nation’s favourite poems saw the classic ‘Address to a Haggis’ come in at number 4, but the haggis still reigns supreme in El Perro Negro’s eyes.
For a limited time only, pay tribute to the Bard with the return of El Perro’s Ode to a Haggis Burger; juicy double smash patties with burger cheese, house pickles, burger sauce, Arran smoked cheddar and topped off with Ramsay of Carluke haggis.
Winners of the National Burger Awards in 2019 and 2021, El Perro Negro have dished up yet another cult burger, with Ode to a Haggis sure to fire up customers’ national pride. The special burger is available from Wednesday 25th January until Sunday 29th January at El Perro Negro’s Glasgow and Edinburgh branches.
El Perro Negro Founder, Nick Watkins said, “As the big bard says, ‘Auld Scotland wants nae skinking ware’, and that’s a motto we try to live by at El Perro Negro.
“Even though ‘Address to a Haggis’ didn’t take the top spot in Scotland’s favourite poems, we’re pretty certain the big man would enjoy this one!”
The Ode to a Haggis Burger will be available at both Glasgow and Edinburgh branches from Wednesday 25th January until Sunday 29th January 2023, priced at £12.50.
Sit in and collection orders only at El Perro Negro, Woodlands Road, Glasgow and sit in orders only at El Perro Negro, Bonnie & Wild, St James Quarter, Edinburgh.
